Greenslate Community Farm is all about its volunteers. The farm does have some paid staff, many of which are part time. However, so much of what the farm has achieved is down to the hard work of our volunteers, people who care about the land, the community and where their food comes from. People power’ has made this place what it is. Click on the button below if you want to give it a try.

Our volunteers turn up week after week for many different reasons. Some come because they love animals, some like the tranquillity of the place. Many volunteers want to learn something. they want to learn how to grow organic vegetables or about woodlands or wildlife; you can learn so much here. Some people just want the company and to make new friends.

Whatever your reason, whatever your motivation, why not give it a go. It costs you nothing but your time, and you may be surprised what you get out of it.
