They say “never work with Children or Animals,....”
…well that’s how the old cliche goes, but we are looking for some volunteers to do both of those things.
Are you looking to gain experience in working with Children?
If you can spare 2-5 hours per week, love working with children, and enjoy the outdoors, this could be the perfect role for you.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and energetic volunteer to join our Education Team at Greenslate Farm.
The successful candidate will help supervise a whole range of exciting and engaging outdoor activities centred around the Forest School curriculum and include activities such as den building, bug hunts, natural crafts, pond dipping, as well as farm based activities such as food growing and interactive animal workshops.
We require a responsible adult with a good awareness of Health and Safety and Child Protection, to help supervise our Wednesday Kids Club (3:30pm to 6:30pm) and Saturday Farm Club (12:30pm to 4:30pm) and various days during half terms.
Full training will be given along with DBS plus additional work based training opportunities as they become available.
No formal qualifications are necessary, although educational, forest school or child based qualifications or experience is desirable.
