Greenslate Community Farm was started by Billinge and Orrell Transition Group.

This group is part of what is now becoming a global network. Groups worldwide are forming to tackle the key issues of building community links, ensuring food security, reinvigorating local shops and services, addressing waste, energy, transport and the phenomenon of ‘Peak Oil.’
